Spratt Transport Services was established in the 90’s to provide transport mainly to the freight industry. With nearly 25 years experience in the freight industry we are able to add greatly to a freight forwarder’s operations as we have a full awareness of what is required to serve your customers. 

For many years we have delivered a professional and dedicated service to companies; collecting and delivering parcels , pallets, groupage loads, full loads and just about any type of cargo out there to their customers. 

With our knowledge of the forwarding industry you are assured that all shipments handled by us is expertly done in an efficient and cost effective manner and in doing so where problems arise with paperwork etc. our staff is fully aware of procedures with AWB’s, Bills of Lading, Releases, Customs etc. This means basically that the freight companies staff don’t have to spend unneeded time trying to fix simple things and also provides a very fast and simple service to customers waiting on deliveries and collections. 

In February 2009, we opened our new Bonded Warehouse Facility in Santry, Dublin 9. This is ideally located for the freight industry as it is only minutes from Dublin Airport, Dublin Port Tunnel and the main motorways through Dublin; M50, M1 etc. 

The warehouse will enable us to provide a fully bonded warehousing and distribution/road haulage/transport and handling service in Ireland. The warehouse is contained in it’s own secure fenced compound complete with 24 hour CCTV and alarm system. 

We are able to receive any bonded containers from outside EEC and devan/unload and palletise any loads to your specifications. The warehouse comes equipped with docklevelling facilities and has at present up to 1,000 pallet spaces available for storage with an option of more if required. 

Regarding Groupage Trailers (curtainsiders etc.) Loads we have our own secure yard for stripping/unloading them covered by CCTV. For distribution/delivering of shipments we have our own fleet of vehicles available ranging from from transits, box vans and 20ft, 24ft, 26ft, 28ft curtainsiders with tail-lifts, fridge vans and 40ft loads. Hazardous loads/materials/abnormal sized goods etc. are also catered for. 

We provide a shunting service out of Dublin Port for any containers which arrive in and need collecting and/or returning both to our warehouse or full loads direct to the customer. We cover Dublin and surrounding counties on a daily basis and rest of Ireland in most cases next day including Northern Ireland. The warehouse facility also provides a palletising and export staging service aimed at the export market where we weigh & dim shipments and prepare them for forwarding.
